Lenore Gish
From her Calgary based studio she creates mixed-media paintings with water based mediums. Her focus has become portraiture - often of mature women whose faces have a story to tell. Her paintings are rich with pattern and collage using papers and fabrics along with some stitching to create interest and texture. Sewing is a part of her history and a common thread that binds us all.
