Bio
Alyssa Skilnick (she/her) is a contemporary fine artist based in Alberta, Canada, specializing in charcoal, gouache, and oil paint. Inspired by European Masters like Bouguereau and Velázquez, she trained at The Florence Academy of Art in New York. Her latest series of 13 paintings explores the systemic neglect of women’s health, blending vivid imagery with personal and historical narratives. Through self-portraits, landscapes, and social critique, Skilnick’s work challenges and inspires. With technical mastery and raw emotion, she aims to use art as a catalyst for compassion, equity, and change, shedding light on untold stories and overlooked experiences.
