Cindy Bouwers
Bio
Alberta-born, Cindy earned a BFA in Design, then built a successful career as an award-winning graphic designer. While teaching at AUArts, she reignited a long-buried desire to paint. Drawing from visual impressions and experiences in the natural world, she creates evocative and uplifting paintings. Working in both oil and acrylics, often experimenting to push beyond her comfort zone, her works of light and land are layered and complex, spanning between representation and abstraction. She has been accepted to juried group shows in Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto and there was honored to receive a Duggan Landscape Award by the SCA.
