Bio
Ashley was trained in Calgary at Swinton's by Fine Artist Chris Jordan for six years before graduating from Vancouver Film School in Film, TV, and Cosmetics. Spending ten years in the Film industry was an artful challenge, where her creativity and sense of aesthetic was honed. Today, Ashley harnesses whimsey and darkness to create illustrations that focus on women, fantasy, and the delicate eccentricities of human nature. Her style is flexible and dynamic, largely informed by her sense of magic and knowledgeable use of various mediums, which include watercolor/gouache, collage, pen-and-ink, pencil, acrylic, and pastels.
