Bio
Theresa Maxwell is a Calgary-based artist. Born in 1976, she studied fine art at the University of Toronto and in Moscow before pursuing a law degree. With the birth of her daughter in 2005 she returned full-time to painting. As an emerging artist, Theresa exhibited paintings in galleries in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. Her experience included being a part of an artist collective in Toronto's Distillery District and organizing an artists' studio tour in the city's vibrant Beach neighbourhood. Theresa's move to Alberta in 2011 took her art in a new direction, inspired by the beauty of the West.
