Sheila Schaetzle is an intuitive painter, drawing inspiration from local parks, the foothills, and the Rocky Mountains. Sheila uses thin acrylic glazes and mixed media to create vibrant artwork, featuring soft edges that blend seamlessly. She engages in journaling and reading about art techniques and has a substantial collection of sketchbooks and journals that have guided her practice over the years. Her artwork has been featured in various local and national art shows, and she is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, The Society of Canadian Artists, and is a member of the Burns Visual Arts Society.
