Bio
Calgary-based mixed media artist, Kersten Fairleigh, has always felt compelled to explore, understand, and communicate the emotions underlying action and reactions, be they others or her own. Originally a strategic visual designer, Kersten helped clients clarify the “why” driving their work, then created visual designs that emotionally connected the audience to the offering. Now Kersten brings this same drive for emotional exploration and understanding to her fine art practice. Her current work focuses on themes of personal narrative vs. reality, trauma, resilience, and the process of keeping or discarding states of being.
