Cindy Bouwers
Alberta-born Cindy Bouwers achieved a BFA in Visual Communication Design before establishing herself as an award-winning graphic designer. Transitioning to teaching at AUArts, she reignited her long-suppressed urge to paint in 2006. Influenced by nature, her art moves between representation and abstraction, capturing light and landscapes. Cindy's pieces have graced group exhibitions across Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto, earning her the esteemed Duggan Landscape Award. Actively involved in the Calgary Artist's Society, she presently leads as president of the Riverview Artists Group, channeling her expertise and passion to enrich the local art scene.
